Dear Friends at Southern Korean Presbyterian Church,
We are excited to share our March Newsletter with you, "Post Flight".
Thank you for "being here with us" giving in prayer, finance, and encouragement!
We now have room for regular monthly financial partners to support our family and living expenses as missionaries.
Last newsletter we shared a 24 hour snapshot of our ministry flights. We have stories this month of opportunities to share the Gospel of Christ after some flights! Enjoy the photos and stories below.
Above: If you follow us on
facebook, you may recall the story of MacMillion. God gave "Mac" a second chance in life. He was dying of cerebral malaria. The Lord gave us the opportunity to share the Gospel message with him in our hospital ministry. The Cook Family and Natalie Waters (Pilot Candidate) shared a picture Bible with him for several days after he started recovering. Mac was so excited as they shared. John and Carrie spent time with Mac and his parents as well. About two weeks ago, Mac made the decision to ask Jesus to lead his life. He asked John to lead him in
prayer!
The two ladies each gave birth to healthy twins. Gertrude was able to assist on location with one retained placenta. John flew the other Mom back to Wewak, and she gave birth there at the hospital.
We are doing well as a family. It has and will be a bit busier than normal for a while with many visitors and ministry candidates coming and going. We will be busy as well assembling our second aircraft planned to arrive in Wewak soon. It arrived in Port Moresby, PNG, recently in a sea container. The kids have been enjoying surfing more and more and are keeping Dad busy repairing second hand surf boards :).
Psalm 9:1
"I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works".
Prayer:
- Mac would grow in his newfound faith in Jesus
- Safety for John as he flies and lands on rivers and lakes. The water levels, weather and conditions are constantly changing. Safety as our family travels around the Wewak area and around town
- Construction happening on our base
- Decision for Pilot/Office Staff candidate Natalie Waters
